santa finally arrives...

...well sort of. He arrived on time as he always does, but just try explaining a membership to The Children's Museum to a toddler!

Sophia was like a kid in a candy store, she couldn't take it all in fast enough.
Anna (showing her stubborn side) insisted on walking up two flights of stairs with out any assistance!
They really enjoyed the toy "community", and doing some shopping in the grocery store just like Mom and Dad!

Sophia loved the blocks! She spent a good twenty minutes there and had to finally be dragged away.

happy holiday celebration

We had a great time last night at the Hansen family Christmas party.
Sophia really liked checking out the nut crackers, she knows from our house that they are just for looking at, while Anna was ready to start snacking as soon as we walked in the door.
Cousin Tyler enjoyed showing off his rockstar look, while he didn't have any gold teeth the vampire chops were sufficient.

Anna really liked present opening time

Sophia loves modelling her new outfits....
...and a new puppy stuffed animal is her new favorite!

The highlight of the evening was Tyler's new remote control helicopter, if you click on the picture below you will see the chopper hovering just above the star on the Christmas tree.

lefse!

This weekend Sophia and Anna had their first lesson in the art of making lefse at their grandma and grandpa Bensons place.

While they weren't quite ready to make lefse yet, they were more than happy to be the official lefse testers.
Cousin Tyler had much success honing his lefse making skills.

catch me if you can

Recently Anna has become a big fan of the here she comes game. Sophia will be in the other room and Anna will get so super excited when she hear's Sophia coming our way, her excitement is only enhanced when we tell her that "here she comes". While Sophia is at the same time playing her own game of catch me if you can.

The other part of the game that they really enjoy is the opening and closing of doors, it just never seems to get old with these two!
And of course no play time is complete without Sophia being burrito'd in a blanket!

santa lucia

Today we celebrated Santa Lucia Day at Mindekirken
At times it was difficult to keep the girls entertained, but for the most part they were perfect angels

Sophia was very enthralled by the whole experience, I believe she herself may have plans to one day be Lucia.

After the service we gathered downstairs for some buns and coffee (in the girls case; juice)
Anna really enjoyed her time there

a holly jolly evening

We finally got our Christmas tree set up the other night. Anna and Sophia had a really fun time with it....actually they have been having fun with the tree ever since. Lots of decorations to look at!

Today is momma's birthday! Hanging out with these two scallywags is the best way to celebrate!

winter class begins

We're not quite ready for pre-school just yet, but our new E.C.F.E. class is close. We meet every Saturday for a couple hours which is a great way to get out of the house for a while. Sophia and Anna get a chance to inter-mingle with other toddlers their age...
...not to mention a huge classroom full of toys to play with!
Anna really enjoyed being pulled down the slide!
