some of that good ol' lunch time trickery

As anyone who has ever raised a toddler knows, sometimes you need to think of some rather ingenious things in order to get the little ones to eat their dinner, today was one of those days at our house. For lunch I heated up some of the left over Lima bean pasta dish I had made yesterday. Sophia enjoyed it very much but Anna was absolutely refusing to eat the stuff. I would offer her a bite and she would defiantly say "no!', So I would say "OK, I'll just have to give it to Sophia" which was met by indifference, so I would give Sophia that bite. The next bite I offered to Anna would again be a blunt "no!" and I'd say "OK, I guess the puppy will have to finish your food", rather than chance that scenario she took the bite. The next bite she would again refuse and when I used the puppy trick, she just looked at me with these I DARE YOU eyes. However, when I informed her there were Lima beans in the bite she instantly wanted it. So from then on it became a sort of game; she'd refuse, I'd tell her it had Lima beans, she'd take the bite. Strange, I know! I guess were not done with the love of Lima beans just yet.
Here are a few pictures from this morning when we roamed the yard, picking frozen rocks to throw and playing with the melting snow.

what little girl doesn't like shoe shopping

With the big Mothers of Multiples Sale coming up we figured we better take the girls out to the mall and get them fitted so we could be sure of getting the right size shoes this weekend. Now we're all set for some real shoe shopping.
