who's got a birthday today?

Sophia and Anna turn two today! Above is a picture of the twins from a year ago on their first birthday with Sophia on the left, below is a picture from today with Anna on the left. My, how they have grown!

most important presidential election of our lives...

...of course it is the first presidential election of the girls lives, so I guess it could also be viewed as the least important.  The phrase "most important" is not new to presidential elections, in fact I have heard it used the last several elections. It's tough to say what the future holds but I certainly hope the presidential election sixteen years from now will not stir the same level of passion and  importance, if so, Anna and Sophia may be very disappointed being that they will be legal voting age just four hours after the polls close, that is if the first Tuesday of November remains the official voting day, I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yesterday Anna and Sophia's mormor (grandma) Thorvaldsson arrived from Sweden for the girls birthday coming up in a couple days, The girls were very excited to see her and Anna was ready to show off her walking skills.
