street festival

This morning we walked a few bocks down the street to the Judson Church street festival. Built in 1914 (four years before our house was built) the picture below shows what the neighborhood looked like back in the day.

The festival was an exciting experience with a street band and a dancing trumpeter

I think Sophia may have thought the trumpeter a little silly

Anna really wanted to go in the big bounce house, unfortunately it was full of big kids so she'll have to wait until next year.

We weren't able to stay for long since it was a chilly windy morning but it was a fun time all the same 

good mama day

Today was a good mothers day for all with plenty of food, family and fun. Unfortunately I only got a couple shots off with my camera before the battery went dead, but as you can see the girls weren't much in the mood for pictures, better luck next year.
