home noir: part I

order of the olive jar

The other day I found an old candle that had melted oddly over time and was no longer able to stand on its own. I found an empty olive jar that was a perfect fit for the candle. So I set the candle inside and lit it and walked into the living room with it. Anna was there and when she spied a candle perched atop her beloved jar of olives, she was fit to be tied. If there is one thing Sophia and Anna love more than their pickles, it's olives! I learned the hard way, never mess with the olives!

order of the coffee cup

The twins have definitely entered into the yours and mine stage. Even coffee cups have their proper place in our house. Momma always drinks her morning coffee out of a large mug that has some weaved basket accents, while Daddy typically reaches for an old mug with some mushrooms on it. The other day my coffee cup was dirty so I reached for one of Momma's cups. Well, when Anna saw my drinking out of Momma's cup, that was not ok and she let me know it.
