Today was once again time for the yearly Saint Lucia Pageant at Mindekirken (actually it should have been last week but was delayed on account of the snow we had).

Over all the girls were kind of on the naughty side through the whole service.

Luckily momma came prepared with some candy canes and color crayons.

After

we headed over

to Jerusalem's Finest

Middle Eastern Foods

for some Kibby and

Shawarma

sandwiches

...it was

delicious!

Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked ginger cookies, oh....and the girls really love dipping them in egg nog.

The weather outside is frightful but the games and fun we've been having inside has been delightful. We have received about 17 inches of snow today and the blowing and drifting hasn't stopped yet. Luckily we have nowhere to be as we would just be stuck in a snowbank like everyone else we've seen trying to venture out in the neighborhood today.

For years now we have forgone the traditional shopping after Thanksgiving day for an afternoon of making lefse instead. The obvious reasons are that the lines are shorter and the deals are sweeter.

The singing puppy with the flapping ears is quite the bonus too.
