chillaxin at hidden beach

Hidden beach on Cedar lake has long had a reputation of being the rowdy beach in town, however we found it this morning to be the coolest, most laid back place around. I guess the key word here would be that it was "morning".

The girls are really beginning to get comfortable with water now and are all the braver everyday.

...and momma had a chance to relax too...

During our visit a fisherman came by with a small fish he caught and gave it to the girls for their castle moat. After a bit we decided it was best to set him free, but first they had to get a close up look at him. As soon as we set him in the lake; he was off with a flash.

the world's sport

I tried to explain how important todays World Cup was to the girls.
How it was the biggest game to take place since they had been born.
and how wonderful it was that Spain and the Netherlands had made it to the final
and Nelson Mandela had made an appearance.
Sophia and Anna however were much happier...
when they had a bucket on their head....

and were wrestling....

and walking like crabs.
