Lately Sophia has been very demanding of Anna and can frequently be heard saying "come here sister". It seems that is her new way of communicating with Sis and typically Anna will oblige. They have both been rather on the demanding side these days with their own set ideas of how things should done, sometimes it leads to some shoving and hitting (yes we are working on those terrible two's you know). For the most part the girls are well behaved compared to some little ones we see around, but like all toddlers they have their moments.
Yesterday we headed over to our good friends (Matt & Dana's) house for a barbecue. It was fun for all and the girls had a great time hanging out with their little one Sammy, who will soon be turning one. While we were there Matt took me down to his recreation room where he had recently set up his drum set, naturally the girls weren't far behind. Sophia came down, checked things out and quickly moved on to more interesting things. While Anna took a bit of interest in the drums. I sat down on the set and started pounding on the toms, hitting cymbals and did some drum rolls on the snare as Anna stood there watching me with a crinkled nose. Noticing she wasn't impressed I walked over to her and asked what she thought of the drums with which she replied softly "it's too loud!", her exact words.
