the big yellow bus

Big yellow school buses have been a hot topic at our house for as long as I can remember and this week the girls finally had their chance to ride one.

We have signed up for bus service to Lyndale school for the year but since it's only eight blocks from our house I'd prefer riding them up to school with them cruising in the bicycle trailer. They both really enjoy that but it is tough when we have the big yellow school bus as the competition. Not to mention that the girls have begun giving me the cold shoulder when we arrive at school because I ask for hugs and kisses and that is totally not cool. Yesterday when I arrived at school, after helping Anna out of the trailer she quickly said: "You can go now Dad." *sigh*

preschool begins

I just returned from dropping Sophia and Anna off for their first day of Preschool. They were both very excited to be going to school like the big kids. Once we arrived they were both a little overwhelmed by it all and I could tell that they were nervous, but then again so am I. We know they are going to do great and I'm sure they will have much to tell once the day is done.
