Last evening we had a little excitement at our house when the things that go bump in the night turned out not to be ghoulies and ghosties but rather Sophia making the great escape from her crib [twice]. She was not hurt and managed to land on her feet both times but after the second successful escape was made, Momma put "Operation Crib Lid" into effect, thus ending Sophia's dreams of freedom during those bedtime hours. After the girls were put down for the third and final time; Anna, offering Sophia her last hope for freedom became very upset after Lisa zipped the mesh lid shut. "OPEN IT! OPEN IT!" she cried as Momma made her way toward the door, "no no it's bedtime" she replied and closed the door for the night. The girls gave a final cry of rebellion but within a minute they were asleep for the night.
Our only hope now is that Anna doesn't get any ideas since we only have one lid for the cribs. I'm going to guess her cautionary side will buy us a few more months.
