A fresh snowfall came to us yesterday. The light fluffy kind with beautiful crystal flakes and while Sophia seemed very excited to see snow flakes that look just like the ones in books, Anna was more interested in getting down to business and cleaning up all this fluffy stuff on the walk.
In the past the girls have been content with just following me around as I did the shoveling but once I got started this time it became clear that they wanted to have a more active role. Unfortunately; I didn't have shovels in their size so I first tried to give them each windshield scrapers and hoped they would accept them as small shovels. I had only one very small scaper and one very large one, (as could be expected) this did not go over well.
Today upon picking the girls up from daycare, we headed straight to the hardware store for some real pint sized shovels, whether we get that much more accomplished is yet to be seen.
