cool and lazy

The weather has taken a turn for the cooler this week and we've been taking it easy over the weekend. Yesterday we walked down to Curran's family restaurant for breakfast with the girls riding in their wagon. It was nice to get out and we enjoyed being out on the town so much we decided to head out to the mall and walk around for a while. Anna and Sophia did not care for this so much and were fairly bored so we didn't stick around there for very long. Both girls were in the mood to be active so we stopped off at the Lynhurst Park on our way home. They had loads of fun crawling around on the jungle gym and sliding down the slides. Whenever either of them would get to a slide they would very slowly and methodically turn around and back down onto the slide. Usually Sophia just flirts with the idea of sliding down but doesn't actually take the plunge, she'll back down to where she is almost completely on the slide but not quite to that point of no return and then she'll struggle to get back up the slide. Anna also backs down but typically reaches that point of no return and will sometimes get stuck midway down, but mostly she will just let herself go all the way. When Sophia sits in the sand she enjoys picking out the rocks and either bringing them over to me or to her mom, while Anna likes to take big handfulls of sand and drop it into the grass or onto a bench or any other place sand doesn't really belong.
