On Tuesday, daycare drop off was the same but apparently Anna had a fever - 101 degrees according to Chickie, after Lisa was called to come pick her up it miraculously disappeared by the time Lisa had the girls home a half hour later. Chickie had said that Sophia was also walking around crying for no apparent reason. All this had me concerned that either Anna was developing a fever because she detested the whole daycare thing, or that our daycare provider was flaking out on us because she felt our girls were unmanageable, the latter being absurd of course being that our girls are angels (yea, OK parental bias). But now as the week is winding down I am happy to announce that when Lisa picked the girls up from daycare yesterday, Anna was actually sad to leave and cried for half the car ride home. Not only that but when I dropped the girls off today Anna was just fine with being handed off to Chickie [a first], although Sophia cried, Chickie joked that they must have traded places. I'm guessing Sophia is working on a molar coming in, otherwise, I think it's all going fairly well .

daycare fever
The week started out....how shall I say.....not so great. With the colder weather came the colds themselves and Sunday night was a real bear with Anna struggling to breathe all night. It seemed to come on the moment we put her down for the night and after a while we actually had to get her up for a bit so she could pull herself together. If you know Lisa and I at all you'll know getting the girls up once they have been put down for the night is the absolute last resort. Well needless to say Anna was not a happy girl and there was really little we could do for her except give her some Tylenol and hope that she could sleep it off. Unfortunately she just wasn't going to get any sleep in her condition so Lisa decided to spend the night on the couch with her and after a few hours I took over for her. It was after two when I finally put Anna down for the night and she was so utterly exhausted by that time that she actually did fairly well getting some sleep. Morning came and she was fine other than some sniffles, which we've all had. In fact she was in a good mood all morning, which is more than I can say for Sophia (I'm thinking Sophia doesn't sleep as well unless her sister is in the room with her) Daycare time came and it was the typical routine, Sophia content with whatever, and Anna sobbing at the very sight of Chickie.
