One activity that we frequently enjoy partaking in with the girls are brisk walks around beautiful Lake Harriet. It's a good long walk and a nice way to split up the day while enjoying the great outdoors. Today as I got Anna and Sophia buckled into their stroller I noticed the straps going over their shoulders and a bit down their backs, which is a good indication that it's time to reposition those straps up a notch. It seems like yesterday when we were .... yada, yada, yada, you know what I'm going to say. They are still our baby girls and we are enjoying this time with them very much, but it certainly feels like it's moving quickly sometimes. Well our walk today was cut a bit short. When rounding the south side of the lake we were met with a few sprinkles of rain. Rather than chance it we headed back home and it was a bit drizzly most of the way. It's been very cool and rainy all weekend long but it is still good to get out for a while, I'm afraid there are only a few days like this left, before we know it there will be snow on the ground and well be having some serious cabin fever. I expect this winter will be much better than last however since the girls are getting much more mobile so I'm sure well be doing lots of playing in the snow and sledding down hills. In the mean time we are taking advantage of any opportunity we have to get outdoors. After returning from our walk the sprinkles had subsided and the girls got busy with running around the yard and getting into the neighbors rocks (pictured above). There is something about taking things from where they belong and throwing them onto the sidewalk or the grass or wherever, but if it makes them happy....
